Donations

Our school could not function if not for the generous donations and CTSO funds coming to our school. On this page we would like to provide some information on how you can contribute to the education of our students.

Direct Giving

San Xavier Mission School is in need of your help. Our school is on the Tohono O’odham reservation which makes it difficult to receive any kind of financial assistance accept what we can raise ourselves. The money we raise helps pay for teacher and staff salaries, the upkeep and day to day operations of the school, and tuition grants to our students. A majority of our students families cannot pay full tuition - so through your generous donations their tuition is subsidized to give them the best catholic education possible.

If you feel a call to help in the education of these children, please send it to:

Remember your giving is tax deductible as we are a non-profit organization!

Catholic Tuition Support Organization (CTSO)

The Catholic Tuition Support Organization of the Diocese of Tucson (CTSO), is a qualified tuition support organization that is proud to provide tuition assistance for students in 28 Catholic Schools throughout the Diocese of Tucson. If you link to one or all of the schools, it will become apparent that these fine schools help students become faith-filled individuals which provide them with strong academics, and emphasize the importance of service to one another and to their communities.

The State of Arizona has provided taxpayers an education tax credit since 1998. This means that when you send a contribution of $1,000 if filing jointly or up to $500 if filing singly, the State will provide you a dollar-for-dollar-tax credit. This is a wonderful way for individuals to provide tuition assistance for students in Catholic schools at no additional cost to them. If you chose not to participate in the CTSO, the State will control those same tax dollars instead of you directing the dollars to a Catholic School.

Academically, students in Catholic schools have responded with scores that rank above the national average on achievement tests and greater than 95 percent graduate and go on to higher education. More importantly, students are provided with the opportunity for an education centered around moral, academic and faith-filled values.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Catholic Tuition Support Organization, CTSO, for the Diocese of Tucson is to operate as a qualified school tuition organization according to ARS43-1089. The CTSO accepts contributions from taxpayers earning them a dollar-for-dollar tax credit and allocates at least 90% of the funds for tuition assistance or scholarships to students in grades K-12.

CTSO supports the mission of Catholic Schools to help students:

  • Develop their faith
  • Achieve high academic standards
  • Value responsible citizenship
  • Provide service to the community and to one another
  • Grow in respect for self and others

Every parent, regardless of race, economic or social circumstance wants a choice in the great adventure that education is meant to be. The Catholic Tuition Support Organization, CTSO, gives deserving families that choice.
